This limited-edition solid red oak custom cribbage board is made in the USA. The board is made from 1 3/8 inch thick solid glued edge red oak. It is then hand milled to include two pockets, one for the cards and one for the pegs. The lid is made from solid oak and engraved on the top with the customer’s choice of text. The text is offset in black. Both the board and the lid are finished smooth. Includes board, lid, cards, and pegs.
Cribbage, or crib, is a card game traditionally for two players, but commonly played with three, four or more. Cribbage involves playing and grouping cards in combinations which gains the player points. Cribbage has several distinctive features: the cribbage board used for score-keeping, the eponymous crib, box, or kitty; a separate hand counting for the dealer. There are two distinct scoring stages (the play and the show) and a unique scoring system including points for groups of cards that total fifteen. It has been characterized as "Britain's national card game."
